Today we launched Thumbprint Radio a hyper-personalized station for each listener. As the name implies, each station is based off of your thumbs every thumb up you have provided throughout the time you have listened on Pandora has helped create your individual Thumbprint Radio station. This is a living, breathing station that will continue to change as you listen each time you thumb up a track on Pandora, your station will update and evolve.
For those who havent yet added their station, heres an overview of what you will experience. (If you havent, click here to get yours now.) This is not just your thumbs up on shuffle. While you rediscover all of your vorites (songs you thumbed up 10 minutes to 10 years ago) we will continue to add in new songs that we think you will love. Simply tune in and listen up our musicologists have made sure you will be guided seamlessly through all of the genres you have thumbed up, no matter how varied they are.
These stations are perfect for sharing because they are such a unique reflection of your own musical taste. We have made sharing your Thumbprint Radio station easy. Once shared, your station will dynamically update for your friends as you thumb, so no going back to the old days when you had to update a playlist every time you unearth a new vorite song.
One final note because these stations are based on your thumbs up (and we want to make sure you have the best listening experience possible) your Thumbprint Radio station will be made available once you have at least three stations with four thumbs on each. The more you thumb, the better your station will get. So, whether you are new to thumbing or have already logged thousands, we look forward to hearing what you think.

I love thumbprint radio, but I dont like that it plays a chunk of songs that would normally ll on the same station. I have a lot of genres that I listen to, and when I listen to my thumbprint it seems like it plays 5 or so similar songs in a row. It would be nice if when I skipped a song the station understood that I wasnt in the mood for that kind of music rather than just playing another song just like it. For example, I use this station at work and some of my music choices arent exactly appropriate, so I end up having to change the station for a while rather than just skipping a song.
Yeah, I came here because I noticed that exact thing. Im guessing maybe they want fewer jarring genre changes, but I happen to have one big band station, and it really stands out when Thumbprint gets into a rut of those tunes.
Thumbprint radio does exactly what my normal Pandora does. It plays some songs I like and then a bunch of junk. I dont notice it playing any more Thumbs Up songs than regular Pandora, except it seem to like to play the same artist multiple times within a small block of songs
I tried thumbprint, it doesnt seem any different that my regular Pandora. It plays some songs I thumbed up, some I like, and a bunch of junk. Only difference is it gets stuck on genres and plays the same artist within a block of a few songs. So thumbs down for thumbprint.
Agree with the first two comments - I wish this shuffled the stations better. It got stuck in a handful of instrumental/film soundtrack music which Im not always in the mood for! Itd be helpful if we could tell the thumbprint station what stations to avoid and if it didnt play a batch of songs from the same station in a row.
